How many miles does Dodge recommend changing spark plugs on a 2008 Dodge Ram with the 5.7. Thanks

My 2007 manual states 30,000 miles.
Heres something wierd. I had a 2006 Ram 1500 with the 5.7. The manuals maintenence schedule showed a recommended 7500 mile oil change interval for normal use, and 5000 for severe duty. I now have a 2007 Ram 1500 and the manual states 3000 miles. What the heck? What changed? I always thought that these 3000 mile intervals were a ploy by the quickie oil change shops to make more money unnecessarily.
Heres a tip for changing the plugs if you are doing the work yourself...Prepare yourself for a frustrating time. The rearmost 2 cylinders on both sides are a tough access, but the drivers side is worse with the Brake booster in the way. Dont use too much anti-sieze on the threads of the plugs either. Good luck. The job took me over 2 hours the first time, and I have been wrenching since 1983!

They've found the MDS likes real clean 5W 20 oil.

By the way Frank, what was you weapon of choice on the plug under the brake booster? Plug socket and several 1" extensions?

Cylinders # 5 and 7 are a pisser with the booster in the way, thats for sure. Yes, you will need a few short extensions. I believe I first attached a 2 1/2 extension on the plug socket, then fed it in to the hole. I have an assortment of different size 3/8 extensions, and I use many of them. My truck is lowered. I stacked 3 off road tires in front of the bumper to rest my feet on while my belly was on the core support. My arms were contorted and I had to work by "feel". Isnt it wierd how many tasks we do can either be seen or touched but NOT at the same time?
