Has anybody tried these? Could these help prevent a vacuum leak with the silicone embossed gaskets?

I would like to find a concave stocker-type ... so you could just plain gaskets on the intake and head surfaces.

I have used the Hughes pan with my Stage VI heads. Used grey Right Stuff, ran a bead along cylinder head edges and front and rear block area. Used the OE 3 bolt braces and let sit for 24 hours with no leaks...Matt

does that work with stock heads?

just use sealer along the head and ends

so you would use the paper gaskets instead of the stock vally pan which is the gasket correct?

I will be swapping intakes soon and never did a BB intake swap yet

this looks good, and looks like intake changes will be simple

dosent work with bb 516 heads, it leaks. The intake surfaces on the 516's have knotches in them so there is no sealing surface for the intake gasket where those knotches are.

Hughes got back to me on these and said one cylinder has to be loosed for these to work.

Hughes makes a two piece valley pan that is way better than the one piece and is only about $15.00 more. That's what I put on my new engine for Da Beast I. I used the right stuff to seal it. I haven't run the engine yet so I can't comment on leakage.

You won't be able to use a manifold with a low-hanging heat crossover; it will be high-centered.

If you have aluminum heads you can cut the off the port sections of the 1214/1215 Fel Pros.

You are correct. Thanks for the tip. The 2 piece can be used W/O loosening a head. The intake manifold gaskets go on dry also.
