Like it says, anyone have pics of US car tool subframe and inner fender brace install? I am trying to get a picture as my welder is saying the subframes fit like crap and is saying the inner fender braces are too short to install as the only pic I found online was of the XV inner fender braces, I am sure a pic would help us sort this out. '68 charger or b-body preferred. Thanks

The sub frames do require quite a bit of trial and error grind and fit and grind again and fit and grind again to fit the floor nice . it took me approx 8 hours of this to fit mine to the floor , they don't tell you that when you buy them . But since i was welding them in myself i just stuck with it. They will look nice .
When your paying someone who really only cares about what he is going to get paid on the job and is trying to get them done as fast as possible you have a problem .

Heres the US car tool connectors:

Instead of grinding to fit I smashed the floor down to fit.

Go get a piece of 2x4 tube steel use a piece of cardboard to make a template of the floor trace it onto the steel and cut it out. It will cost you 1/10 the price of what they want for the ones that are already cut out and you will have them welded in in half the time. I bought the X5 ones and spent 10 hrs fitting and welding them only to realize that I spent $200 for $20 worth of steel. OOOOHH but their LAZER cut that would be great if they FIT. The X5 frame connectors are a JOKE.

What gauge/thickness steel are you using for your connectors?

I don't remember exactly but .065 is probably what the X5's are I'm sure .080 or .085 would be plenty. I don't think the rest of the frame is thicker than .065
