dvw master Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 9,863 MI, usa	Mine is much simpler. A ball stud in each carb. They are connected with a rod threaded internally at one end for adjustment. Sorry no pics. The rod is very similar to the rods connecting factory cross ram carbs to the center bell crank. I like it because its small and not bulky in appearance. Been on the car since 85,no failures. Doug

But you're right, you don't need anything fance if you don't want a progressive linkage.
