well i almost got it done over Saturday /Sunday
i run in SuperStreet class,11.00-12.99.Very much the budget DYO guys.
It was a hot weekend,as high as 112 in the staging lanes,DA as high as 4100 mostly around 3000.
29 cars qualified,i was 12th with a 11.34.
5 rounds of racing and i made the final.Even better i lined up against my mates 62 Belair bubbletop.this is a car i have done a lot of prep and work to,stroker 409 W motor,turbo 400 etc.
But i blew it with a .046 cherry.Still a great weekend with Satellite not running slower than a 11.40,final when hot lapping,and running in the 3's all other eliminaters.
It was good to see Carl win as he has never gotten further than a semi at a nostalgia meet before.
And we both drove our cars home.
Just shows you don't always need a little car with a big motor to win
Oh well 3 more meets this month,Judgement Day,Nostalgia Drags and Mopar Rumble.
Better get out the practice tree
