I'm trying to mount a small alt on my race only E body. I have a stock block RB, motor plate, 440 Source heads, CSI water pump, Milodon gear grive, MSD crank trigger (moved to drivers side), modified stock K member. I purchased a DMI mounting bracket, but it mounts the alt too high. I will have to cut the motor plate and also move the lower radiator hose to use it. There is room to mount the alt lower, but haven't found a bracket yet.
Anyone know of a different bracket, or am I going to have to make my own?
Thanks, Brian Dunnigan

Nice job, Tony. The funny thing is I had one of those brackets that I borrowed from my machinest (chevy guy) and determined I couldn't use. A good idea and got my thought process going in a different direction.
Thanks,
Brian

if you notice the top bolt on the alt is not in the hole of the bracket, because of the mini alt. I just put the adjustible bolt in and marked where the top bolt should be and used a spacer on all to fit the pulley. cheap and it works.

Andy, something like that will work just fine. It don't have to be complicated.
Thanks,
Brian

You can buy all the parts in that picture from Mancini Racing.

Andy, do you know the part number for the mounting block or know who the mfg is? I looked at Mancini's web site, but did not see it.
Thanks,
Brian

Rodney, I purchased that one, but it will not work on my car. That is one nice piece though.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian,

I think those parts are some that Andy sells under AR Engineering. I'm sorry the one you got is not going to work for you, if the parts still look good we can take them back.

Michael

The low mount motor plate kit that I showed in the picture is part number AR207. It is designed to work with the ATI damper and the Doty low profile pulley. So there are a number of parts in that picture from different mfgs.

All of the parts are available from Mancini Racing but you might have to hunt around a bit to find them.
