rhad OP super stock Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 954 garnett kansas	got a old 360 we are gonna put in a plow truck,gonna put in a new oil pump and timing chain,i want to increase the pump pressure by putting a washer ,etc behind the spring,i see it has a cotter key holding what looks like a soft plug in,will the plug come out easy once the cotter key ois removed,or is there a trick to getting it out and back in without ruining it? thanks in advance!

Drill a hole then thread in a screw and slide hammer or lever it out/add washer/press in another mini plug from your parts house live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

If you do that all you will do is increase the pressure RELEASE point--I.E. cold start and max rpm pressures. Your mod will do nothing to increase moderate RPM/hot oil pressure. Just in case that was your goal. It would take a high volume pump or heavier weight oil to do that. (Or of course tighter engine clearances)
