Was looking at Braille batteries and had a few ques. about them. One, can you use a regular altenator with them? Two, are there any common problems with them? And three, how long do they last using an altenator with them or is it better to chargte them each pass with a charger? Thanks, Clint

I have one. I use a mini 60 amp East Coast alternator with it. I’ve used it for two years now, no problems. I do have a low compression engine (9.7:1), though. I don’t charge mine in between rounds. When I have checked it, it usually carries 12.6-12.8 volts.

Jegs told me to not use hi amps to charge them. That's all they said lol

Have had my Braille Batteries for the past two years and they start my Hemi each and every time. Hopefully they continue! As for charging, an electrical engineer from the race division from Chrysler once told me, that you charge batteries like you use them, if you take the charge out fast you must recharge fast, if you take it out slowly, you re-charge slowly. I always have my big charger on full charge each and every time. HEMI JOE - I do not use an alternator at all.
