73DartSport owns my old 73 Sport now, I found a smokin deal on a low deck 451 short block(400 block with 440 crank), stuck some stock Eddy heads on it and the MP 590 purpleshaft and went 10.20 with a Dominator and 2" headers in a 3050# car with driver. I had the heads ported and went 10.00's with a 9.96 in great air, then added a tunnel ram and went 9.90's with a best of 9.89. I never dreamed it would run like that, only hoped for 10.50's when finishing the car. Compression is about 11.2:1, pump gas on the street, mix of pump gas/race gas at the track, no transbrake, no power adders, fun car on the street, even has a quiet X-pipe exhaust system. New owner went 9.77 last month!
