I have eagle rods w/ ARP rod bolts. The question is can I clean the threads w/ a die? I am having problems putting the nuts on some of the bolts.
They act like the threads are slightly damaged by threading on real hard.

NO. Those threads are roll formed and using a die will cut the grain in the metal. If you`re worried about `em get a new set. Rod bolts is the last place you want to scrimp out.
