I am finally getting to this 5 yrs later, The ball joint boot on the pitman is shot so I need replace the joint. I tried to remove the arm but this thing is on there and currently soaking in oil for another attempt tonight.
Do I have to pull the arm to replace ball joint or do I buy a new pitman arm.
I purchased a pst kit 2 years ago and did not include the pitman arm and finally getting into the front suspension and steering resto work.
thanks moparts

You need a puller to get it off. And be prepared to PAY for a new one. DO NOT buy one from JC Whitney or the like as they will sell you the wrong one. I bought one off E-bay and it was incorrect too. Even after I asked the guy, hey it looks different, oh that's ok as long it bolts up..it didn't so he got it back and an earful. I was lucky and found a good one on an old PS box I had. I just used it. Manual and power are both the same.
