Which do you prefer for a mildly built street car in my signature below. Shifts well now but I'm looking for firmer shifts and better/smoother control of the downshifts.
TIA
1970 FE5 Duster 360/904/3.91's SOLD
1973 TB3 SpaceDuster 340/4spd/4.10's SOLD
Moparless for now but when the opportunity is right I'll have another one.

IMHO, the tranzgo TF-2
There are a lot more options available to you. You do not have to make it full race to take advantage of the kit. Craig

I've used nothing but TF-2 on rebuilds and they always work great. Nice and livable around town in normal driving but "bang-screech" when you're gettin' on it!

TF-3 is the full manual shift with no throttle pressure linkage,IIRC
I have been wondering about this no throttle pressure linkage thing...
so without it, I'm operating at full line pressure at all times?
Is there anything detrimental about this, or is it a good thing?
I want to believe this is a good thing. I am looking at a cope 727 with full manual vb and it sure would be cool to not have to worry about it.

Ive had a couple of Trans go kitted 727s. They worked ok but I had troubles with the acculator valve snap ring coming out.
the B&M was in a C6 and shifted very harsh. it was installed in the street/strip mode.
the absolute best was a Art Carr kit. shifted firm under normal driving and would bang the tires at the strip...
I am truckless..

Supposedly the TF-3 can be setup to use throttle pressure linkage ??? I read it on this board recently , but if you are buying a trans from Cope just get the VB he recommends .
