What are you guys using for a drive shaft loop?

If I were to try to fab one up, what size steel should i use?
Thanks

I like this,,,i have one on my Charger,,no issues with clearance,,,not sure if it would be a issue on your car,,,

You can go to the sponsers page on this site and see it listed,,, i think it is with US Tool,

hope this helps.

Doug

I used a Lakewood universal loop (Mancini) bolted through the floor on a '70 Challenger with 3" X pipe. Pro's are it is fairly inexpensive and stout. Cons are I had to re-bend and re-drill the hoops to get the right fit.

If I do it again, I would get the fitted loop from Auto Rust Technicians. More expensive but doesn't require hours of bending, cutting and drilling.

I use the same one, although my Stage VI's raised exhaust ports had an impact on the clearance and I had to get part of the bolt-together assembly for the loop welded to eliminate the bolts and provide additional clearance. I have no idea what the aftermarket trans' impact on fitment might be.

The US CAR TOOL one(which is a nice piece), will not work with the Tremec and the crossmember that you are using(I am assuming Keisler). I made one for a 63 Dodge that was pretty good and worked well with the X pipe, but the pics are at the shop computer. I will try to remember to post it later.

I used the universal bolt to the floor type with a Keisler 5 speed. One advantage is flexibility... you can adjust where you bolt it through the floor as well as loop position... it just seems to take a fair amount of cutting, drilling bending and welding to get the loop in the right spot.

I don't have a tremec or the X-pipe but this is the driveshaft loop that I went with.
