Hi!

I have never restored a car paying attention to date codes and assembly dates. I always overlooked that...I only paid attetion on getting the right parts as far as castings or overall look of the part but no date codes.

I dont plan on going crazy on this though since Im really not into that, but where possible and whern it makes sense I will try to get it right.

No way Im paying a premium only for having a date code right, not worth it in my book. But when I do have a choice, might as well do it right.

Can you guys give me the pointers on how to get this right when buying parts for the cars?

Yes, I guess it can be a B instead of a 3.

I transcribed the numbers from this pic. I dont have the actual TAG on my hands, Rick has it.

A bit fuzzy, but I see a B too. The B prefix for '71 denotes a Canadian order, it ties in with the C in the line above.

Domingo, different parts/components have different lead times.
When you post which parts you're needing, I'm sure you'll get good input.
