I was thinking A.J. Foyt.
AJ Foyt would never fail an alcohol test... He always had some...

who you suppose put them up to checking him only ?mr #1 qualifier usally. summit boys? jegs? someone didnt want him to run.
why does everything have to turn into a conspiracy? couldnt it just be that AJ failed a random test that was given randomly? (randomly with prior notice that he'd be tested on Saturday) A test that he could have taken at a later time, BUT decided to do it first thing? those Gm guys, Jegs, Summit have some serious power and influence to MAKE AJ go take the test when he did as well.

Sounds like some smart guy saw him out the night before puttin em away and decided to rat him out the next morning. Obviously he didnt think it would read anything if he could have taken it later and he took it then. How many guys griping about this on this site drink the night before?? Hello McFly!!

Sounds like?? how does it sound like that? am I missing something? rat him out to who? or why? he was already told he would be taking the test on saturday,
"rat" - Hey NHRA AJ was drinking last night while at dinner in a public place, you should test him for BAC...
"NHRA" - REALLY?? OK!!!!
the dude made a mistake, there is no conspiracy, no one out to "get" AJ ... they guy made a mistake, owned up to it and moved on.

If you think there is not enough political BS in the NHRA for someone to go over and say "You might want to check him"; you might need to attend a few more NHRA events. Not saying that happened but its definitely a possibility. There is big time money involved in this sport and alot of bogus political crap comes with that money. Bottom line he got busted. Dont even want to think about how many sportsman racers still had alcohol in their system come 8:00 am though. Speaking of political crap, saw NHRA pull a nice one a couple weeks ago at the bracket finals. Was down watching the judging for best appearing car for Super Pro and heard one of the NHRA guys say it cant be a car from track x, y or z because they have already had a car win. Seriously???? If a track has 2 cars nice enough to win then both of the cars should get the award in their respective class. I am done with my rant
