Are the front and rear carbs supposed to have
Small holes (one in each blade) in the throttle blades???? ( Ive seen this done on some drag race carbs to help Idle but would think this to be a problem on a sixpack.

And you've basically answered your own question...The secondary blades are fully closed at idle so the holes are there to aid the idle circuit perform it's duty....
