Cab,
I never ran them. But because they are needle bearings, they should not requiree much oil at all. I have seen T&D's where guys dont have any plumbed oil and use an oil can between rounds.

Mike, I'm a street and bracket racers so pouring oil on them after every round is not a option. I have a set T&D 1.65 ratio stock shaft type rockers on my 527 motor with Indy SR heads, I will convert those restrictors to use Holly carb bleed sizes by drilling and tapping the adapter fittings that the hoses attach to. I did that to the 518 motor with the Harland Sharp shaft rockers yesterday but I'm not sure what size to start with, no sense in burning up the pushrods or shafts so I guess it is better to start to big and go down. I'm going to cut the top off of a old OEM stock rocker cover and intall it on the motor so I can prime the oil pump and rotate the crankshaft assembly over to watch how much oil comes out of the rockers with different sizes restrictor in the fittings I had primed the 527 motor with a piece .080 welding rod stuck into the fittings and the oil pour out profusely, which made me thank that it might not be enough restrictor. I thank the air bleed in the oil line path is the better way to go, I'll post on the results later this week.

From what people have posted over the years, I wouldn't run any bigger than 0.062" per head. Work down from there, and 0.050" wouldn't worry me, but check things after the first few runs until you are satisfied everything is fine every time you restrict below the baseline. A drag racer that goes 10 seconds or less per pass, might need different than a street driver going 30 minutes or more between resting the motor/valve springs/ etc.

on my sr,s with t&d,s,i tried no restricters and had low oil pressure.with advice from this site,i tried .060" restricters,in each head.i still had too much oil up top and low oil pressure.i went down to .040" in each head, and it has worked real well. good oil pressure and not too much oil up top. with the design of the t&d,s,i think you can get by with less oil.the pushrod tips and cups get pressurized oil.

Indy sells the fittings with restriction built in. after installing them on my 572 haven't had any issues with oiling. your more than welcome to measure the hole size or call Indy and ask them.

.042" here as well. Seemed to work well for me with the HS rockers. FWIW this was on my 65 Belvedere with a 451 and SR's. Was a pump gas street car, when i sold it had 150+ passes on it and 4500+ street miles and never an issue. Oh yeah car went 10.50's at 3770.
