Here is a link to what might have been for the Pure Stock Musclecar Drag Race. It was a great time even with the rain out. Largest turnout ever at 157 cars!!!! Even Tom Hoover was there, and yes, he was racing!!!!!!!

Pure Stock shoot out pairings!!!

That is Tom Hoover junior's car right? I didn't see Tom Sr run the car.

Right on Tom. That picture does not do the the car justice(no offense to the photog). It is absolutely stunning! Runs as good as it looks to boot!

Don't be so hard on the ol' duster Tom. Its pretty cool and quick too.

I have a question for you guys. The weight listed for the cars, is that with or without driver? He gets the 60' down on that Maxi a little and he will be in L88 territory.

I saw an interview with Tom where they were talking about some of their personal street cars and he said that he was running 117 MPH in the quarter on street tires in a 1968 R/T. Looks like he schooled his boy well.

So your duster weighs 3456 with you in it? That makes me feel alittle better.

Don't get to excited. Tank was full to the brim with a big F70 polyglas snow tire spare and a jump box in the back seat.
