Just bought a carter 3258S carburator from a swap meet. Bought it thinking it was close to the 3447 carb I need parts for.Thought I could swap the throttle linkage shaft from the primaries. But it is not the same. But I got the carb dirt cheap. The guy had no clue what it came from. I knew it was the front carb on the chrysler 413 dual 4-barrel. And I also found out it was factory on some Ford Cobras. What do these carbs go for if I were to sell. Any ideas? Are they as rare as my 3447?

it's a front carb for a 59-62 inline dual 4 barrel setup. Neat carbs if you have both, the linkage, and the intake. As a single it's not going to make you rich. They are in low demand and not really the best performance carb being the smaller AFB design. Still worth keeping intact rather than parting it. I don't know what you need for 3447 parts but I would look for them elsewhere before tearing up that carb. If it's throttle arms you need those are available reproduction.

That's a carb that I would like to have, but I'm not familiar with the 3447, so I don't know if I have anything in my pile-o-carbs that would help. I do have the intake, but niether of the correct carbs or the linkage.......

You might find some parts on Buick AFBs and they had the fuel inlet on the front like that. Don't know about the rest of the parts.
