Trying to figure out whether PK# 4028815 would be a lock up transmission. Someone has one that I might be interested in buying unless it's a lockup which I do not want.

The My Mopar trans guide lists it for a '78 Chrysler application with 360-equipped cars but does not specify lockup or not.

According to the direct connection chassis manual it is a lock up transmission.

if it's a '78 yes a LU. If the splines on the front input shaft are not splined out to the very tip but have a turned down (machined) section at the tip it is a LU.

What they all said above, and remember, some 727's were lockup as well. If you can find a donor car w/the A36 (maybe A38) towing package, that tranny is non-lockup.

Most likely it's a lockup, can be confirmed if you know what application and car it came from.

Thanks for the replies. Seller claims the unit is from a '77 model year 360 powered Chrysler 300.

Is there even such a car?
