Forgive my ignorance, but I am not familiar with the term "A66." This must refer to a specific Challenger configuration; is it the base Challenger?
It was the package code for a base model JH23 Challenger with a 340. The R/T's were JS23 and you couldn't get a 340 in an R/T.

NOT TRUE! ALL A66 CARS I SAW NEW PRIOR TO 71 HAD RATHER LARGE 340 4BBL DECALS! MY FRIEND AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR RELACEMENT DECALS ALSO. THEY ONLY HAVE THE 71'S
I respectively dis-agree.
My former A66 car witha Dec 1969 SBD ( now sold) was still original paint and it had potmetal emblems on the original non-crumple zone hood

Both plants. Not everyone with them has registered yet though, it would be nice to nail down an approximate date range for when they were in use. If anyone who has not done so yet wants to register their A66 car, please note on the form if it originally had the flat hood, the J54 hood with the decals or the J54 hood with the emblems? http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/register.shtmlWith enough input these things can be figured out.
