It's funny how little the background behind that transport truck has changed on 10 Mile RD.The building still looks similar other than the windows were bricked up.The tall fences are still intact with the barbed wire.I think it's COOL to live so close to that kind of history.

Garry, you know the mind is the first thing to go! That yellow car is easy though. That looks to be my yellow Bird!

Jeff, you're absolutely right. You're right there where history took place nearly 35 years ago. Even though it is no longer Creative Industries, the building is kind of like a shrine to Mopar folks.

Jeff, I was originally gonna be in the warm, sunny southwestern U.S. next weekend but now it looks like I'm gonna be in town so yeah, I will be at the swap meet. I was planning on bringing your slides up there with me and give em back to ya one year to the day later!

Garry, Indiana is an awful long ways from Newfie. I give up already, whose cars were they???

I have no idea who owns them. I guess they don't spend too much time out in the public domain. Just thought you or wingcars would know.

That daytona picture asking whos daytona it is.Im thinking is Jake Deimers hemi car .It was originally a F6 green car.And those are MO plates.Though about Jim Hiser but hes from IL his car is from MO.I got a daytona question whos car was used in the speedvision commercial where a cop pulls over a daytona thats red and white asking the guy what motor and why he wasnt going faster.I got it on tape here and review it for more clues as car is a twin to mine

I have yet to see a speedvision commercial featuring a Daytona. Heck i just spent weeks trying to get all of the Durango and Ram commercials on a tape. I was going to say when i saw the green daytona, that i thought it might be the gentleman who is up in New Castle, but then again he didn't have a hemi daytona. I don't recall him having one anyways.

On the hunt for my dad's old cars. They include 5 Daytona's, 2 superbirds, and 2 500's. Very interested in finding the Red on Red Daytona, and Q5 Charger 500, and have found both cars.

And another. i bet onebad will figure out who owns these two.

I think the green car was Larry Bells car from New Castle IN. He's sold his wing car stuff. Has a nice Viper coupe though. We saw him at the Indy wing car event in 2002.

The car in the first photo with the headlights up, do you think that it is yellow? By looking at the second picture you can tell that the wing is white. I know it is impossible to determine but I wonder if this could be the car that was in a previous post a few weeks ago (the Polaroid from the used car lot)??

Tommy, which photo were you referring to with the headlights up? There's been a bazxillion pics posted on this thread!

I think he's refering to the first pic I posted from creative. The Charger in the top left can been seen in the second pic on the top right. Has anyone heard more about or know the status of the 200mph Daytona that Greg K. found?

Greg still has the car. It's a huge project. I haven't spoken to him in several months, but I don't think any major progress has been made of late. I think he has had some son and daughter priorities.

Basically, the '74 Charger skin has been removed and he has a donor 69 Charger unibody which has been stripped and is ready to retrofit to the race chassis. The original chassis is in good shape by old race car standards. Some of the bits modified to mount up the later Coke bottle Charger body (upper roll cage) will need to be corrected. The car really needs to be fixtured on a surface plate or chassis bench, and with some time and fabrication skills, things can get going. I'm sure Greg has been sourcing parts for the project as time goes along.

Tommy, that Daytona in the Creative pic sure does look like it could be Sunfire Yellow with a white tail. Good eye!

Dave, Doug pretty much filled ya in on Greg's progress so far on the race Daytona. Knowing that neither of Greg's previous two long-term wing car projects were ever finished, I sure hope he can get to this one as it definitely deserves a top-notch resto sometime in our lifetime to where it can be appreciated.

10SecondDemon, is your new family member courtesy of a fellow named Dave in California and recently listed on ebay? If so, he had the silver Daytona with the white tail and molded nose and fender scoops that was discussed earlier in this thread. Dave called and offered both cars to me before listing but I can't afford any more wingers! Here's the ebay auction number to the 500: 2453717619

Cool car. I remember when it was in the shop getting restored at Julius'. Some big wig at Disney offered good money and he sold it like 6-7 years ago.

Are you coming out here to pick it up? Or are you local?
