if any one with an original paint 68 sport fury / any 68 Plymouth line with a code 316 green horizontal stripe, and have any pics, that would be great thanks!

Hey Dave does the brochure scan help? It's green, it's a stripe, it's on a '68 Sport Fury rag top, it's original paint, it's a low mile car, it's a coincidence that a co-worker stopped at a garage sale today at a late lunch and found a '68 Plymouth Win-You-Over-Beat-Goes-On, pristine sales brochure and gave it to me because I have a '68 rr, it's good that we have a nice scanner at work, it's funny eh? it's time for me to

Thanks for the scans A12

I have an original paint car with a black stripe (see att) I am looking for the correct color of green for the stripe on my rag top should have(code 316 green)

all i need is the right color for the stripe.

I don't need pics of sport furys with stripes unless they are green striped

Thanks!

Nice cars FuryDave. I can't help you with the stripe question, just thought I'd add a quick picture of my 68. Hope you like it.

Here's one I photoed at a car show this summer. If memory serves, it was an original paint car:

Here's a closer pic to give an idea of the colour of the stripe:

Hope this helps a little.

Me too!

Here's a '68 III that I owned back in the late '80s. It was a 13,000 mile car but was very rusty - it sat outside for years, hardly driven. Would love to own another one some day that wasn't crumbling underneath me!

Thanks chrycoguy.

the stripe is not orig on that car.
it's wrong thickness in the middle plus it loops in the front wrong

Thanks for the pics though we are getting closer!

Ah well, it was worth a try. I talked to a lot of people that day, and I thought the guy who owned it (bought it from his wife's aunt, the orig owner, I think) said that it was original paint, but my memory has failed me before, so....

It's always possible that the stripe was added after the fact as well. Just out of curiosity, there wouldn't be a difference between US and Canadian cars, would there?

I do remember he told me the engine compartment was original, as his buddies were getting after him to paint the engine, etc. but he wanted to keep it original (though I do see a couple non-orig items in there)...

Nice green int, too.

Good luck on your quest for information! (and nice Furys, by the way!)
