Last year I got my holy grail fury
68 440 4spd dana rag top sport fury inland+tach

the build sheet and fender tag say it should have a green side stripe and i can't find any ref. pics.
jj1 gold with green guts/roof/ strip wow.

if any one with an original paint 68 sport fury / any 68 Plymouth line with a code 316 green horizontal stripe, and have any pics, that would be great thanks!

heres a couple shots, its a great beater for now and I have already done victoria and back with it twice in the last year.

heres what the stripe looks like on my gold ht 68'its original paint.

the 316 green should be the same color green as the lower stripes on a 68 gtx. still can't find pics though

There's been a couple '68 green stripe GTXs on Ebay, I think I saved the pics.

There was a "survivor" white w/green interior & stripes on there a few years ago - I can't find the pics.

So, what's the Sport Fury - "SPORT STRIPE" look like?

Dan, Sport Furys only had accent stripes, not sport stripes.

I believe this car has green stripes.

Since the Sport Fury stripes are (316) green vinyl (tape) in this case, instead of paint (such as 31P) I "assumed" that they were of the "sport" variety.

.... but after being reprimanded I've looked at Hamtramck-Historical and found the error of my ways.

the car has some used car lot looking accent stripes as you can see.

I can't wait to get the green stripes back on it, should look great. just need the right color.

I have a full set of blue NOS side stripes plus my orig paint 68 had top for reference, but no color.....

Dang thats a cool car! All of them actually. My Dad had a new white over gold 68 Fury III. I always thought the side stripes made the Sport Fury though. Sorry I can't help on the colour. That has to be the coolest stock 68 around.

Thanks Sheldon the 68 hard tops a stick car two... not real though ( orig 318 auto) now a mild 440 23 spline w 3.23 went 14.00 at 102 here it Edmonton and is still great on the Hwy. took it to MATS in 07 what a blast.

If someone has a good scan of the 1968 Plymouth (multi-model) brochure I think there are two or three good photos of Fury's with what appears to be the stripe you are asking about..not sure but
