I run them with my 489 with the thrust block in place

first set went 9 yrs,2nd set in 2yrs now and with out the inner axle seals ths go round..no leaks and have had them out a time or two

the o-ring is sealing fine

with the seals its double protection against leaks though

got my greens from the doc

he has the best deal on them

Why do you want them. The tapered bearing is superior. If it were mine and not running a spool it would be a no brainer to keep the tapered bearings and clean, repack them, and set the bearing/axle end play. Not a big job and it isn't something that you do daily. Once it is done it will/should last the life of the car.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

The Greens are great on a drag car, but have a small fraction of the capacity of the stock Timkens and will be short lived if you really "drive" the car. (see MP catalog for disclaimer).

I could visualize losing a wheel, but they do seem to give plenty of notice (noisy).

I don't know about being short lived if you really "drive" the car. I have over 80 1/4 mile runs and 40,000 miles on my driven car in 8 years. No issues at all.

Bought em from Doctor Diff already installed on new axles.
