I have seen #'s as low as 325 and as high as 445. SAME engine specs(compression, cam, heads, exhaust - ETC ...go figure ... ... ... It IS a very weak engine .... BUT also very durable ! GET some decent-compression in it(from 6.7 to 9 to 1), some tweeked cyl heads(swirl-ported and massaged combustion chambers), along with a 2010 cam UPgrade(Crane or Comp) and better fuel delivery(a TQ with either a Streetmaster or SP2P intake) ..... and you have a helleva' motor for what is WAS designed for .... an RV/truck "grunt" engine. And JUST THIS PROJECT is on one of my engine stands.

Some of the 2010 "tech" (like the current Chebby stuff) is some radical stuff. VERY short duration ... but HUUUGE lift. So what is needed is a roller ? ... and then how about valve springs ?? I don't know ...
