i know they are mostly for drag racing, but at cruise speed it bangs gears too harsh.can i adjust line pressure without a gauge to ease the harshness while street driving.even downshifting its way too harsh.or do i need to get a stock v.b.

Lowering the line pressure will soften the shifts BUT it will also reduce the holding power of the clutches which is not a good thing. You can add an orifice into the port that runs from the valvebody , they will dampen the harshness some .
