When I bought my iron World block in July the dealer told me it was the last iron block in World’s ware house. If you go to Worlds web site you will see the only block they have listed is the aluminum block.
Their distributors (Jegs, Summit, etc.) are going to have a lot of P.O.'d customers if they don't update their catalogs then.

As far as suppliERs, the current foundry and machine shop for iron is neither owned nor operated by World Products, and never was.....but everyone including me still calls them a World Block so figure that one out....
Can you elaborate on that? I was under the impression that World worked with Chrysler (under contract agreement?) and they developed the design, cores, etc for the "World" blocks. Then World was allowed to produce/sell the aluminum ones, while the iron ones were sold through MP distributors. I didn't realize that the casting and machining of the iron blocks were contracted (by Chrysler) to someone other than World.
Interesting. Correct my impressions.

This is from the World main stud thread.
Shifting the blame to "the foundry" earlier in this thread was pretty funny. A foundry doesn't use any fasteners at all, so how was it their fault? And the foundry mark on my iron block is "DF" (with a backwards "D".....I'm pretty sure the Da---- Foundry isn't owned or operated by World Products either, and I'm pretty sure they are using Chrysler's million dollar tooling to produce the engine blocks we are discussing here.

I've lost track. How many unique iron Wedge big blocks are available on the market right now, what are they, and from whom? Or simply put, if I wanted to buy any bare, NEW, iron Wedge BB, what are the different choices, namewise, regardless who distributes them? Thanks.
