Is there a brand/company to stay away from? Some of my new TopCat seals are all crushed/compressed from being in the packaging so I'm cleaning up my origonals. I don't want to run into that again.

The origonal quarter glass seals are riveted onto the aluminium glass braket thingy. Do the replacements attach the same way? Thanks

Wow I just checked my Topcats and they appear to be in good shape. They are so nice, I think you should use em. I had PUI ones for my 71 build that I did in 05 and they sucked so bad I did what you said and reused my originals which luckly were in nice shape. Since then I bought these Topcats and they are much nicer.

For the quarter seal I used seals from Metro. They have been on my car since 05 and are holding up nicely. I have two sets still new, both are for my 74s. My driver 74 was inside alot in it's life and they are still in good shape, so these are for "stock" lol

The seals that are all compressed are the cowl to hood seal and the hood to rad seal. I cleaned up the origonal hood to rad seal and it looks great. The TopCat cowl seal is on the car since I more or less destroyed the origonal trying to remove it.

So is the quarter glass seal replacement pretty straight forward? Just remove the rivets and re-install? Do the new seals come with new rivets?

Yes, Yes and only for kits '71-up. '70 no rivets.

For some reason, I thought that the seals came with the stainless strip on them. They don't. The seal just slips right out from the top.

I assume you can sand/buff the stainless piece just like all the rest of the trim right? Do you need to remove it from the glass...that would require removing the rivets. Thanks
