What rear wheel width/backspace are you using in a 1966-67 Plymouth B-body with mini-tubbed (ie inner wheelhouse moved next to rear frame rail) wheel wells? Pics?

Looking for "factory" steel wheels, Wheel Vintiques has 15x10 with 5.5" backspace. Is that enough backspace?

I'd say not quite on a 10" wide wheel. based on the fact that a 7" wheel is squared up nicely at 4-1/4" bs, I'd say for a 10", something in the 6 - 7" backspace range is what you'll be looking for with a standard rear end. That could be tough to find. Might be worth it to look at different housing lengths, I find myself wondering if an A-body housing would get you to a dimension that would open up wheel options for you (???).

I have a '66 Satellite. I minitubbed it to the frame rails, and used a 15X10 Weld Draglite with 7 1/2" backspace. Its tight in there, but I can run a 29 X11.5 tire. I have since changed the 8 3/4 to a Dana. I narrowed it four inches on each side and use a rim with 3 1/2" BS. Hope this helps. Bob

I have a 67 Coronet with 10" steel wheels that I had widened. I think I narrowed my rearend 3/4" of an inch on both sides and my backspacing is 4,3/4" I will post some pics later.
