Did 1972 Chargers have an under the steering column trim piece? Mine does not have one, and it just doesn't look right without it. I have looked through the service manual but I cant seem to find a picture showing one. If so would anyone happen to have a picture of one?

are you referring to the piece that hides the wires on the bottom of the column and in between the 4 mounting holes? if so, then yes, they all had them.

I seriously don't remember one. I was fanatical about keeping it as original as possible. I was underneath for stereo sutff and even swapping the entire gauge cluster out to have a factory dash with tach, and had the connector melting problems, and taking out the buddy jump seat and putting a slapstick console in. I really just don't remember taking a cover off, and that would have been the first thing. My Bronco has one.

Nope. My original '72 does not.
