I bought the AMD repros for my Challenger fit & finish were great. Much better looking then my 40+ year old bumpers that came off. I am not concours show poodle kind of guy so they suit my car just fine.

Ogden did my bumpers few years ago and I am very happy with them. Less than $400 each and they pick up and deliver! Not to mention they are perfect....(69 roadrunner). I contacted Ogden a little over a year ago, they quoted me $700 a bumper and free shipment . . . As a starting point, anything less than perfect would be an upcharge. While I agree they do great work I wasn’t willing to sent a front and rear Cuda bumper for a starting price of $1400, God forbid they find anything that needed attention, I could have been at 18-2k in a hurry Needless to say I went elsewhere

I use amd or goodmark, when I checked on going with rechroming, it was more to do 1 bumper than buy 2 new, plus the wait. I know you can do exchanges also, but last time I did that, I got a bumper that looked like someone took an air hammer to on the backside to straighten.

Sure, you get some marks on the inside of rechromed bumpers. They (most) have been straightened! As long as the outside finish is good. Who sees that once on a car? I have bought quite a few bumpers from Tri-City Plating, and always very happy with price and quality. If I have a real nice core, I will get that one back. I’ve put my name on the inside, that’s how I know. I think they are the best buy! I had an early Pontiac that Paul’s plated the front bumper, it looked like a piece of jewelry! No waves, or defects, perfect, over the top showcar, just beautiful... but $1700 dollars for that look. I honestly am not impressed with most of the reproduction bumper chrome, look a bit cheap to me. And of course, this is just my personal opinion...

Repro bumpers are just nickel and chromium, just like OEM, hence the production (cheap) look, we've all been spoiled over the decades with OCD quality triple chrome (copper/nickel/chromium) finishes on restored vehicles, we've forgotten what OEM "production" vehicles of the era really had for finish quality...

I agree it is up to the skills of the rechromer. The better the core, the better the end results. Since nobody repops any C body schtuff I got my bumpers done by Sandy's Bumper Mart.been dealing with them for about 10-15 years. http://www.sandysbumpermart.com/Cost was half of Cambridge Chrome even with the CDN/U.S. dollar exchange rate. I am two hours away from their shop so I drove there to avoid shipping and any damage from shipping. High quality street chrome-not Pebble Beach but my car still took home trophies from Carlisle and Mopar Madness shows last summer.
