I have noticed that I still have a bit of a problem w/ #8 cylinder firing. It misses when cold and seams to run fine when the engine is warmed up. I did have a problem w/ that cylender firing in the past but it improved when I put in an older autolite spark plug to replace a new Bosh platinum plug that did not seem to fire on that cylender. I have run it (only in the garage as car not on the road) for about 6 months of weekly starts and 1/2 hour time at idle w/ some revs. Here is a pic of that plug. For any history on the problem in that cylender I refer you to this post https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...&PHPSESSID=BTW, You can't tell from the pic but the plug is wet and smells like gas even though last I had it running was about 1-2 days ago.

I don't know about the valve seals. had the car since 1991 but never had it on the road.

Also make sure the PCV system is all good, a good test is while its idleing, pull the PCV valve out of the VC & put your finger over it, the RPMs should drop & you'll feel a strong suction, if you don't, you need to fix it if its blocked somewhere, if its not, a weak signal here indicates weak rings. It is also very possible its the seals are gone & the guides are badly worn.

I didnt get back to that thread but if you swapped wires and plugs and it looks like that and still misses, you more than likely have a mechanical problem in that cylinder. Do a compression test on the engine and report the findings. If it was me at this point, I'd be pulling the head just to see what's going on.
Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.
