In or around 1978 they started listing all the sales codes with their meanings on the backs of the broadcast sheets. I do not know if that continued until '81?

You can search the car for them if you have not done so yet, I would be curious to know myself.

This should get you most of the info:

...or save and enlarge the back of this '79 F-body sheet:

Is that car going to make any local appearances? I'm curious what I missed out on...

Are those still going on after labor day? Do you like the car?

I once saw a '79 5th Ave in a junkyard that had the handling package, which I'm pretty sure included the 125 mph speedo. Since the '79/80 5ths used a different font face on the gauges than the standard NY'ers, this must have been a really low-numbers part. Like a fool, I didn't take it.

In '81 the took away some of the exclusiveness of the 5th Ave (standardized the dash/seats/colors) and commonized a lot with the cheaper NY'er. As minor as that might seem, it was the only reason I didn't buy that car, and I might have; given a bit more time to think.

I loved those butter-colored leather seats that only came in the '79/80, but your car has the mechanical goods... I should have bought it, lol.

the car is nice but it needs a going over, it barley made it back it was misfiring so bad. i put plugs, wires, cap, rotor and a fuel filter in it. then i swaped it to electronic ignition, i think the thermoquad needs to be rebuilt/tuned

cosmeticly id give it a 7/10

mechanicly id give it a 6/10

but for the price i paid im extatic. its alot of car for the money and ill probley never see another one like it
