I finally got my 70 RR on the road, was taking it to the alignment shop and my 727 quit just stopped pulling. It is all new with a new valve body and converter. It did this after I went about 4 miles. I'm about ready to give up on this one. What could have happened to it? I got it to the tranny shop and he is taking it out to check but does anyone have any ideal what could have happened? The fluid is bright red and isn't burnt. Thanks for any ideals. Ronnie in Okla.

The possiblities here are endless. I'd be pointing some fingers at whoever built the transmission 4 miles ago.

One often overlooked transmission problem is debris from a previous failure. Coolers, convertors with debris will wreck the next transmission in a hurry.

Don't give up that easy, it's probably something minor.

I found out today that the pump is bad in it, maybe a new one will fix it. Thanks for all the info. Ronnie
