What could I expect to get powerwise out of one of these motors if it was stroked and ported? Running on 93 octane.

600+ hp can be had without any boring, stroking, or porting. Just a little compression, the right cam and a good intake.

Here you go. This should keep you busy for a while. http://www.shophemi.com/

Right now the limit is 440CI with the cast iron block but Mopar has just released an aluminum block that allows you to go out to 468ci. These engines are VERY easy to get power out of. A 600hp 426 or 440 stroker only takes a cam in the mid 230s for duration and is suitable for daily driver duty. Arrington is the biggest name out there but there are others that can build engines on par with them. Lots of good shops on the eastern seaboard (NY/DE/VA/FLA)

Not to hijack.....Are there any books out there that show you how to tear one down, torque specs, tips and tricks, etc. to working with one of the new Hemis?

That is what I'm looking for, so far I haven't found anything.

I found this book, but no idea what kind of content it has, maybe someone here has it and will chime in.

I did buy that book, not a lot of info I was looking for. Mostly concentrates on easy bolt on stuff for late model mopars. If you want to do a complete engine build up, it is not the right book.

That's what I was afraid of, pretty worthless. Looks like the market is pretty wide open for someone to put out a good piece of literature.

Do you think that 700 hp on 93 octane is doable or will it not be streetable?

I also bought the book listed above. It's exactly how Barnabas Kriss describes. Maybe I need to find a shop manual??
