Is there any way to be sure that a set of Max Wedge exhaust manifolds are original and not reproductions? I know most of the repops I have seen don't have the OEM part #'s cast into them, but, I was told a while ago that some were cast with the correct #'s and even had date codes, any truth to this?
Thanks
I believe the ones Atwell did don't have have a Chrysler PN ( licensing fees and all that...). Instead they have 413/426/440 cast into them.

"All" after they changed the number that is.......
There are in fact a fairly large number of them that were being made and sold as "originals" for a while.

I know more but can't go public.
I can find out more with a couple of calls, but I'm really trying to unwind myself from the hobby.
Now someone is going to accuse you of hoarding info. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif)

Originals are 5-10# lighter per side than the repros. The exhaust pipe flange hole is also about 1/2" smaller than original.

Thanks for the info Wayne, do you know the correct measurement and weight off hand for comparison?
