Might not be heading down the track in the near future but I guess I have myself a race car now.

It is set up for a big block with plates, cage, narrowed Dana 60 from DoctorDiff, caltracs, tubs, etc. Car is currently at the body shop getting smoothed out before I bring it home. I knew better than to bring it home looking like this. The wife doesn't mind having a race car in the garage as long as it looks good!

AWESOME!! I LOVE when someone takes the motor off of the pump, drops it in a car and gets a TIMESLIP!!

Which motor is going in it first??

Not sure, I have three big block race motors ready to go at the moment. The 514 makes about 800 hp, the 505 makes a solid 650 and the 406 makes about 600.

I might have to do triple duty, we'll see. My son is 13 so maybe he'll want to drive it.

I'm having the body shop shoot it with a white primer sealer for now just to get it all one color. Not sure about a final color, might stick with white. I'd prefer yellow but the car has a blue interior and I don't really want to spend the time changing it.

The car came with a complete AlterK setup that is still in the box. I haven't decided if I'll install that or sell it. The car has a ton of really good parts with it all still new in the box. The guy bought a lot of high quality parts then ran out of cash, room and time so he sold the whole project.

Maybe do a wrap. You could advertise and have all sorts of colors!

Not a bad idea. There is a local place that does those. I'll have to see if I can put a wrap on top of the primer/sealer.

I personally like Dusters in white. I think they look very good in white. Leaves for graphics if wanted, or just plain they look very sanitary.

Dusters are great drag cars. They work extrememly well and require next to nothing to make them work .....good find !

Nice roller!

Personally, I would have had it shot B3 Basin Street Blue/SuperBlue/PettyBlue with a white upper body stripe like the factory "340" cars.

Then logo it up for business.......

But white is a better basis for a billboard.

Now ALL you guys are making me want to trade my GTX for a Duster! I have MANY fond memories of my 1st muscle car, that I bought when I was 19 yrs. old...a 1971 340 Duster, white with the full length side stripes and 340 logo on the quarter panel! I LOVED that car! It was modified a bit with the usual Racer Brown SSH-25 hydraulic cam,Edelbrock LD-340 intake,750 Holley, headers, and a 4:10 gear! Not bad for a 19 yr. old kid..especially going from a '62' Pontiac Tempest with a 4-banger! Duster's do make great race cars! Andy, can't wait to see it when you get the paint scheme decided..and put into reality!

So the 514 it is then.

I second the idea of the "wrap".
