I was running the valves on our Hemi yesterday when I noticed the #4 Intake Push Rod was bent pretty bad.

I also noticed that most of the intake push rods are bent slightly.... more distorted then bent, I'm not sure if that's normal or not.

I know that push rods are like spaghetti flapping around when the motor is at RPM, so I wold have to assume that they would have distort some what.

But what would cause the #4 bending, fatigue? or should I be looking for something else?

The motor goes through around 7500 RPM. Were running a 780 lift Roller.

We probably have 70-80 passes on it.

Thanks

Kevin

Sounds like the springs are binding.

You know, I wondering if possibly the springs are going away? Would valve float cause it?

I'll look again and see if I can see if I can see any signs of any binding.

Thanks

Kevin

I had this problem & it was due to wall thickness , although on my setup it was exhaust pushrods getting bent.
