I have missed the last 2 races as I have been sorting through so electrical issues with my car. Finally confident I have it all in good working order I got everything loaded this afternoon so I can head out to Piedmont dragway tomorrow am. I love racing there, but have missed most of the races they have had for 2 years now. So sitting on my deck while waiting for the NASCAR race to start thinking about finally getting back to the track when I hear this loud hissing noise. Sounds like a major tire leak so I walk over the the car trailer to check it out. Sure enough a valve stem is cut. After a closer look it had dry rotted. I checked the rest & they too where dry & bad looking. Too late to get all 4 fixed tonite plus I live kinda in the boonies. So I will have to wait to get back out. Guess I will have metal stems installed.

On a related note: You and your buddy have been thrashing 3 weekends in a row on his race car. You take your truck and trailer to pick it up to go racing. You bring it to your house the night before. On the way home you get a couple of whiffs of anti-freeze, but it must be some other car...besides temp is all good.

Then by the time you park and get out, walk around the front of the truck you really smell it. That's cause the water pump took a sh*% and there is a puddle in the driveway. Worst part is the gates open the next morning at 8:00...and it's 10:30 the night before. And Wal Mart doesn't carry water pumps....LOL!

Hey guys, if it was easy, every one could do it. It would be nice to catch a break once in a while, though.
