so i had to somewhat go to town on one of my ceramic header pipes so that my stearing would not rubb the hell out of it. stearing works great now but my concern is that i took some of the coating off the header. is there anything i can do to the spot where i had to dent it in so that no rust/breakdown will occur or will it be ok? thanks

The ceramic coating is really tuff, so unless you see some cracking in it, it should be ok. I don't know of anything you can put over the coating if it is cracked to preserve the finish.

I have had my ceramic headers for ten years and they still look like new.

its not the finish im worried about b/c its under the car where no one will see it. its how age, heat and water will effect the pipe that concerns me.

If you broke off the coating it will rust , put paint on it and keep an eye on it FOREVER , or send it out to have it recoated.

Yes header spray paint .

Call is a Dimple. A little dimple do-ya. Had to do the same thing w TTI's on the Coronet. Small dimple required to get clearance for the pitman arm. Has not changed appearance over the years.
