Yours should raise in the rear.... get the front to lift as easy as possible... get some decent shocks all the way around ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

Good hooking leaf spring Mopars should lift the rear of the car up, not squat, ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) lifting up the rear helps push the tires into the track ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scope.gif) Loose the pinion snubber, it is a bandaid at best, not a cure for the traction problem. Which SS spring are you using( the part number is on the springs behind the center bolt on the bottom leaf ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scope.gif) )BTw, what are you going to do on the broken rear end?

Hello Cape, Over the years I have learned that traction in a car like yours is mainly in the front suspension and not the rear from guys like these. Get the front to rise properly and transfer the weight as needed. Damon ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)

The springs are 3800 ones and the gears they go in the shop tomorrow they were 4.10 but I think I'm going to switch to a 3.91. I had one guy tell me that 4.10 in a stick car is to much have u ever herd that?
What rpm do you go through the traps at... you would like to cross the line at 10% above your peak hp rpm ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

I use to run a 1970 Hemi Cuda in NHRA stockback when we couldn't legally run after market leaf springs. I started racing it with 4.10 with 28 inch tall tires, I would shift into high gear about the 1200 ft. mark ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tsk.gif) I treid 4.89 and ended up putting 5:13 in it with 29 inch tall slicks, I should have left the 4:10 in it and worked on the suspension ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) Try clamping the front of the leaf springs first before switching anyting else on the rear, BTW did I tell you that you need a Dana 60, not a 8 3/4 ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) Save your money now, buy the Dana and don't break the 8 3/4 agian ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif)

Ya I know I need a Dana but why is it that some people are running low 10 to high 9s using a 8 3/4 is there any way to make mine bullet proof? Or is it different because they use an automatic and I'm a stick car. Do u know anyone selling a Dana?
I run a 8 3/4 with a trans brake launching at 5600 BUT my car is light.... weight is whats kills them... if it cant spin just a little it will blow... JMO A couple of thing that help them live is a back brace and load studs coming in from the back of the housing and touching the caps.... plus at least the one good steel cap on the load side ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

I have the competition engineering 3 way adjustable shocks on all four corners the front set to 90/10 and the rear 50/50 and the rubber is still on the front and the front sits 11" off the ground from the oil pan. When the car launches it lifts up as much in the front as the back shouldn't the front be higher?
Your oil pan bottom is 11 inches off the ground? Sounds like it sits high. May not have much upward travel left in the suspension.

11" to the oil pan, no wonder your having a weight transfer problem. You probably have your car set to almost level which means you have to lower the rear and front to get the weight to transfer. I have about 4" to the pan on mine, and it's a 6" deep pan. Probably why I have to weld it up often.
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

Take a floor jack and jack up the front... measure the amount of travel... is this a off road 4X4 ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)
