Those 90 deg. fittings need some grinding on the inside where the two points meet to smooth out the flow.

The upgrade to a dual line system will require the second pickup plate between the pump and block, the fittings and lines to the pickup, and a longer oil pump drive shaft/gear. That swinging pickup and pan should already have the necessary ports for the second line. All Milodon stuff.

thanks, do you know what the milodon name for the plate between the block and pump is? so I would know what to ask for.

I'm surprised that you had a problem in this mild of a motor. My 572 has been run with a single line to aprox 7500 for many passes with no bearing failures. How much bearing clearance did you have? What type of rod? I've run combos at this level with 3/8" internal oil at 6800 with no problem.
I'd keep looking for the problem elsewhere.
