Guys, Need some help here, My Challenger is set up so you can run a delay box, trans brake and foot brake, the problem we are having is when Mike, the guy that drives my car, stages the car he bumps into the staged light unitl it flickers and bumps in just enough to keep it lit, when he leaves like he normaly does just as the light comes on he is consistanly .04 red.the car has a 1.23ish 60' times, My question is how much stagger will we need to put into the front tires to ad about .05 to the reaction time.
He does not like the air pressure out of the tires, we have let them down to 22 lb but at 123 mph in the 1/8 mile he said it feels unstable

this is with the trans brake, the two step is at 3000, if we go lower it really shakes the front tires.
Our track does not allow adjustable buttons.

Put in the delay box If you are not willing to let out some air, or lower the launch RPM not many options left, maybe pull some timing out.

Taller front tires might help. What tires are you running now?

I guess I should have better explained myself, our local track is mostly foot brake racing, which you can run a trasbrake in but no delay box, there are like 5 cars that run Bracket 1(super pro)delay box, if you win the class you win like $125.00, the larger payout is in Bracket 2(Pro) The tires are 27 inch diameter which does not matter, this is a tube chassis car and we can stagger the front tires for more roll out, I was looking for an approximate amout of stagger we would need to put in the front tires to change from a .040 red to a.010 green reaction, would we need to move one tire 1/4 inch forward and one a 1/4 inch back to add 1/2 of rollout to the car, would 1/2 inch give us an additional .050 on the reaction time..

A 1/2" of stagger might just do the trick. Plus not a big deal as you can change it back if it doesn't help.
As said above, a larger diameter tire would do it too.

Well adding stagger woudl be the same as going to a taller front tire. So if it is doable try adding a 1/4" to each side and see what that gets you. If it is a move in the right direction then fine tune it to get what you need.

For gods sake, does it have to be an electrical gizmo answer to everything that ailes the drag racer??? How about the guy learns to drive the thing, or you take him out & put someone else in?? (sorry 'bout that)
