I have a Holley Mechanical Fuel Pump that is rated for 110 GPH and the pressure is 6.5 to 8 psi. Holley says it doesn't need a regulator. Will this work with an Carter AFB without a regulator? Holley says their carbs can handle 8 psi on the needle with no problem but couldn't tell me if there is a problem with the Carter / Edelbrock carbs. Has anyone ever tried this set up? My carb flooded with this set up and I wondered if I might have a carb issue or just too much fuel pressure for the Carter / Edelbrock.

Edelbrock has a lot of material out on how much fuel pressure should be fed to their carb. 5.5psi-6psi is the acceptable range.
