One of my guys at work saw a drag car on a trailer going through Sacramento yesterday. He said it was a GTX (he thinks '70) with the name "[Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean]the "N" word Charley" on the side. He said it was an old black dude towing it with a new-ish Chevy truck. I googled the name, appearently it is from an early 70s movie. Google found zero about this car. Anyone know this car, or have any pics of it? I'd be curious to see what exactly it is.

Haven't seen him in awhile. That's a 69 GTX, with the (the last time I saw it) a B-1 headed wedge with a cast TR and 2 Dom's. Funny thing, he wouldn't tell me the engize size when we inquired. IIRC, it was going 9.80's or thereabouts.

One time in Redding about 10 years ago when we introduced ourselves to each other he did, in in fact say "glads to meet ya, dey call me "N***** Charley".

Seems like quite a character, that's "fo-show"!

Cool. He said it looked like a serious race car (as in non streetable), I guess he was right.
