Hey guys I am in search of that special formula in a short block and help would be appreciated title says it all, also stealth heads are already apart of the build. Please no stroking and the motor must be durable I am new to mopar and hope I can help others when I become more experienced

You can do basically this build. Your stealth heads will substitute for the edelbrock rpm heads they used. Also I would use stock rockers/pushrods instead of the fancy stuff they used. For pistons use some KB237 hyper pistons, stock rods, stock crank. If you build it with the cam they used and did it for 10:1 compression, you'd be right at 500hp or a little bit over. Do some milling and get it up to 11:1 compression and run a bigger cam like a lunati voodoo 60305 an I think you'd be not far under 550hp.

I built my mild pump gas 440 basically with that formula but a tad different. I used what I had to save money. My 440 has 906 heads and I used KB quench pad pistons to work with the open chamber 906 heads. I have 10.0 comp and a nice .045 quench and I can easily run pump 92 and 38 total timing. I used the MP .557 solid cam and it works nice in my combo. I am guessing about 500 flywheel hp as it has pushed my 3700 lb 63 Ply to mid 11's just as I drive it thru the exh. But if I was buying the parts I would go with zero deck flattop pistons and then use the .039 head gasket with closed chamber heads. You can read more on my combo at this site that my car is on. Just click the link and the only change is that I went to 30 x 9 tires. Ron
