I checked my endplay and id like to tighten it up a bit.. I did get a new thrust-waser kit with the parts, i did have to use a re-man pump, and new 5 gear planatary set, all of the old washers were burnt and scortched (massive endplay before it came apart)
Anyway i installed the new washers that were the closest in thickness to the old one.. Well I ended up using the thickes washers between the drums, input and output shaft, and the front pump washer.. and with out the pump gasket i have .085 total. The astg shows .022 to .091 Id love to get it down another .020 can I use two thinner washers that have a total thickness thats .020 thicker then the washer jIhave in there now behind the pump? or will that be to much friction?

i put to t-washers behind the front pump (original .098)that equal .133 and now i have endplay at .045.
will this work?

is it posible the re-man pump was machined a little?

went to a trans shop, te said that .085 is ok. He also said these trans are notorious for being loose.. now off to do the air test.

I'd leave it at the .085 before I stacked washers to make it tighter and I have serious doubts it'll give you any problems.
I've pulled a few apart with more endplay than that,,that had over 100k on them.
