Keep the new tank as full as possible, full tanks don't rust.

U.S. Tank Sealer is a good product. Coats/Seals the inside. I did mine back in 2006 and its holding up well.

I used the POR15 tank cleaner sealer kit in my 65 tank.It was super nasty as the gas had sat in it for probally 7 years.Followed the directions and also let it sit in the sun to dry after I sealed and cleaned it.That was probally 15 years ago.It still looked new 3 years ago when I changed the sending unit.Rocky

just used the por 15 kit about a month ago on a new tank.
Like brand new just bought,so I wouldn't have that problem.

no idea how it holds up yet, but read some good reviews and used the paint before on some rusted areas, so I know it sticks pretty well.

2 cars with the POR 15 tank kit. 2 years so far, still no issues.
