i just got my 540 stroker motor done and ran into a problem. im putting it in a 97 dakota and using a front and rear motor plate but the alternator does not fit in the stock location with the front motor plate. is there a kit i can buy to move the alternator somewhere else and keep it in line with the crank and water pump pulley? or do i have to fab up a bracket for it?

I used a east coast kit and bolted it directly to the motor plate. I have the alternator on one side and my rons injection pump on the other side of the motor plate. Had to drill the pulley to mount to the mopar balancer and trim the spacers some.

I make a motor plate kit that is designed to work with my other products. It may or may not work with the stuff you have on hand.

Andy, Does your motorplate / low mount alternator kit work with a traditional, stock style crank driven water pump? I looked on your site, but didn't see any examples of such.
- Any examples you could show would be helpful, as we are ready to purchase something.
